Forgive me for not being able to post the past few months. My mom was diagnosed with Non Hodgin’s Lymphoma in June – needless to say it has been a roller coaster. Currently, she’s doing well…she has less cancer! There will be more blogging about it, but for now, I wanted to not only send holiday wishes your way to let you know I haven’t forgotten about you, but also to post what has helped Mom with her cancer.
This is VERY important information! Even if you don’t have or don’t know anyone who has cancer today, you might tomorrow, so PLEASE save this link, print it out and SHARE it with others – it could save someone’s LIFE!
You can do this along with conventional, so there is no excuse not to get started. Whether someone is stage 1 or stage 4, START DOING THESE THINGS. My mom was stage 4 and had been sent home to die, so DON’T GIVE UP. Always, always try!

Credit first. A friend of mine provided me this concise outline – it took things I’d been reading about (and a couple we were trying), expanded them and organized them. It’s wonderful. She has a blog that I highly encourage you to follow here – The Gourmet Alkaline Lifestyle. She posts information and recipes (with pictures!) about eating alkaline meals – they are delicious! I’ve tried quite a few!
You might not be familiar with eating alkaline, so let’s start at the beginning – alkaline versus acidic.
Your body has a pH to it. When you eat, you’re either adding to the acidic end of the scale or you’re adding to the alkaline end of the scale. Ultimately, you want to be mostly alkaline so that all of the natural processes in the body work as they should. The typical American diet – all that restaurant food, processed food and fast food – is HIGHLY acidic. And when you’re TOO acidic, those natural processes can’t function properly, and then sickness starts…the very root of it. An off-balance pH is the most basic beginning of sickness and disease. So, we have to reverse it. Not sure what’s alkaline? Start here. In order to get your body more alkaline, eat 80% food that falls into the alkaline food list. Easy! This is not just for cancer patients, either. ANY kind of ailment/sickness/disease WILL be affected by getting yourself ‘alkalined’!
Certain foods have proven ‘anti-cancer’ properties to them. That means they naturally go after the cancer cells and DESTROY them. Getting your body into a more alkaline state is the first step because CANCER CAN’T THRIVE IN AN ALKALINE BODY. It DOES love an acidic one, though. Pineapple, apricot kernels, cottage cheese with flax oil & flax seeds and Essiac tea are some anti-cancer foods. Apricot kernels, for example, have a naturally occurring cyanide in them. No, it’s not the same poison that you’re thinking of. If you eat an apricot kernel but don’t have cancer, everything just passes right through you. If you DO have cancer, however, those bad cells trigger a release of the natural cyanide, and they attack only the cancer cells and kill them.
The immediate question that should be asked is WHY oh WHY aren’t our doctors telling us about these things? There will be more blogs about this topic, but I’ll give you a brief explanation for now. Holistic medicine got separated from our mainstream medicine of today because big pill companies couldn’t patent anything natural. If someone – anyone – tries to tell you that these things don’t work, IGNORE THEM. They do. Now, I’m not going to say that 100% of cancer patients will get rid of 100% of their cancer because I can’t, BUT there is a HIGH percentage that does. The other wonderful thing about this ‘diet’ is that it doesn’t matter your age, your cancer or the stage. It compliments conventional treatments, so you don’t have to worry about anything interfering. There is absolutely NO excuse NOT to try this. Didn’t I say that? Yes I did but it’s worth repeating.
Let me stress this – DO NOT WAIT ON ANYTHING to start this routine. Those cancer cells are growing every day. Time is of the essence. As soon as you find out there is cancer, start this. Even if you or someone you love has been sent home to die – like my mom was – START DOING THIS ANYWAY. Don’t let someone die JUST because a doctor has said there isn’t anything else to do. There isn’t anything else that THEY can do – there is lots more to do!
Here is the “schedule” to follow. It can seem overwhelming at first (but it’s really very easy), so start slowly. Get the kernels first, then start on the tea, followed by the juices, etc. Within a couple weeks, you’ll have it down!
Morning: 9:00 am
1. 8 oz alkaline water w/t 1 tsp lemon. 3 drops kelp iodine
1 granny smith apple (including seeds)
1 shot wheatgrass (charge it in the sun for about 5 minutes)
1 1/2 scoop Cellect (http://www.cellect.org/products.html)
2 drops Vitamin D3
3. 2 Pancreatin, 1 CoEnzyme Q10
4. 4 apricot seeds (http://www.apricotpower.com/)
Sprouted grain toast, spread with 1 tbsp coconut oil and almond butter. Add 1 tsp fresh ground flax seeds on top.
Creamy buckwheat that has been soaking in hot water for about 15 minutes, 1 tbsp coconut oil or Olivio spread, 1 tbsp goji berries, 1 tbsp chia seeds, and sweeten with Stevia.
Mid-morning: 11:00 am
1. Flax oil/Cottage Cheese
2 tbsp flax oil
4 tbsp cottage cheese
1 tbsp fresh ground flax seeds
2. Water w/t lemon.
(Optional) For variety you may add other ingredients such as sugar free apple sauce, cinnamon, vanilla, lemon juice, chopped almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews (no peanuts), pine kernels, rosehip-marrow. For people who find the Budwig Muesli hard to take these added foods will make the mixture more palatable. Some of our patients have even added a pinch of Celtic sea salt and others put in a pinch of cayenne pepper for a change. Try to sit outside for at least 10 minutes every day to get vital SUN (vitamin D). (Mom takes her cottage cheese/oil mix and sits in the sun while she eats it.)
1 Anti cancer Essiac tea (http://www.allensclub.com/), Green tea, or Yerba Mate tea with lemon, use Stevia for sweetener
2 Juice of your choice from the alkaline diet cook book (or just search Google for alkaline recipes; there are tons)
3. 1 Pancreatin
4. Organic spinach salad with raw nuts and chia seeds on it, and a homemade olive oil/apple cider vinegar dressing..
1 Flax oil/Cottage Cheese, 2 tbsp flax oil, 4 tbsp cottage cheese, 1 tbsp fresh ground flax seeds
2. 1 Pancreatin
1. 8 oz alkaline water w/t 1 tsp lemon, 3-4 drops iodine
½ beet w/t leafy tops
4 parsley sprigs
1 drop vitamin D-3
3. 1 Pancreatin, 1 CoEnzymeQ10
4. Alkaline dinner of choice
5. Non-caffeinated herb tea of choice
You can NOT overdo the juicing, so if you want to drink more, go right ahead. Same with the cottage cheese mixture; have more if you want. I put the apricot kernels in a food processor and grind them up so that Mom can sprinkle on everything that she eats. You can put the Cellect mineral powder in/on your food – it doesn’t have to go in the juice ONLY. Improvise. You don’t have to follow this exactly – you can have more than what is listed here. Prefer your Essiac tea in the morning? That’s fine. Use this as a guideline. Make sure the veggies & fruit are organic. Avoid sodas and sugar and processed/restaurant/fast food while doing this. Use alkaline water for everything (you should be able to buy in jugs at your local natural/organic store). Try to get most everything organic, if you can.
Do NOT underestimate this. My mom’s cancer marker (LDH for lymphoma) went from 1364 on 9/27 to 222 from 11/12. Friends, that is HUGE. We recently had a PET scan, and our ‘new’ oncologist (since the first gave up on her) was confused at the results. You see, he thought that she was a goner; that the cancer was too far spread. She had it on her liver and spleen (amongst other places), but the results from the PET scan that we just had done showed NO cancer on her liver and spleen – and he didn’t know what to make of that (he doesn’t know about our alkaline/anti cancer diet). She did have a little radiation done on her collarbone area a couple months ago, but radiation doesn’t travel in the body – no radiation was done on her liver and spleen, and the chemo that she had done months ago had little effect (why the first oncologist sent us home). What else could it have been but the ‘diet’? Cancer certainly doesn’t go away on its own.
Is all this a guarantee that Mom will be cancer free? No. But conventional can’t guarantee that, either. It IS a guarantee, however, that you (or your loved one) will be eating healthier and will be giving your body what it needs to fight. Mom was reluctant to start this because she was so frustrated and down. I told her “let’s do this for a couple weeks and see how you feel”. The change was obvious in a short amount of time. She started looking better, feeling better, her attitude changed some, she moved around a little better, she stopped carrying the ammonia bottle around (she felt so sick, she’d take a whiff often), she stopped lying on the couch as much – just GOOD all the way around. She happily follows this routine now because she knows that it’s having a positive effect.
This is my gift to you. Use it or save it for future use. If you start cleaning up your eating and get yourself alkaline, maybe you won’t ever need the anticancer part!
